Clarence Thomas Hearings CSPAN Archive
Susan Hoerchner testifies for Anita Hill in the Thomas Hearings. (minutes 20-29)
When I heard this in 1991 on the radio, thought: Aha!
Now here it is again thanks to CSPAN.
Hoerchner said that her sympathy for Hill's problems with Thomas did not seem to help, but actually if anything made Hill feel worse.
Under what circumstances does sympathy fail to work? Under what circumstances does sympathy make it worse?
When the first party is making it up.
It seems if anything more obvious than when I heard it the first time.
