Supply-side inventor Jude Wanniski dies

He had a blog with comments before anybody else.

His great contribution was as a WSJ explainer of economics in the 70s, popularizer of the Laffer Curve.

Sometime after that he went off the deep end, or anyway saw a vision that he could no longer communicate.

He had great patience in explaining, up to some large point; at which time he politely asked you to leave.

Among the weird ideas accumulated were that the US was experiencing a large deflation, call it his failure to understand gold, or to understand the reality of mathmatical averages.

And that the round-the-bend politicians not only have to be listened to, but followed.

His work as WSJ explainer will last forever.
